Keeping facts current
Factual claims — prices, transport, schools, local services — are updated when they become materially out of date. We do not refresh a 'last updated' date unless a guide has genuinely been reviewed or changed.
Opinion is labelled as opinion
Local views, resident quotes and our own impressions are presented as opinion, not as objective fact.
Stereotypes get scrutiny
Reputations about Bristol neighbourhoods are often outdated or oversimplified. We do not repeat existing stereotypes as fact without context.
Geographical honesty
Where an area sits outside the City of Bristol boundary — in South Gloucestershire, North Somerset or Bath & North East Somerset — we say so, and explain why it is still relevant to somebody moving to Bristol.
